Terms and Conditions

By submitting your application to attend the educational and healing conference conducted on by Steve Lockhart you agree to the terms and conditions as stipulated below. The term ‘program’ refers to the events that take place within the conference as part of the teaching and healing process.

  1. Places in the conference will be limited to enable us to provide the best possible care and teaching standards and therefore submitting an application will not in itself guarantee your attendance. Steve Lockhart reserves the right to reject any application on the basis that it is not in the best interests of the conference or the applicant to attend. This could be due to any number of reasons and is at the sole discretion of Steve Lockhart.

  1. Therapists attending the conference who have not previously trained in SLM Bodywork will receive the full professional training program on 15 DVDs and text book as part of their program. This program carries a 60 day money back guarantee and should the therapist decide to cancel their attendance at the conference before they travel the portion of the money paid that represents this program will be treated separately to the other refund conditions..

  1. Your acceptance at the conference will be indicated by the taking of a 10% deposit from the credit card details you supply or banking of a cheque you send. You can request a refund of this amount up until 75 days before the date of travel after which time your decision to cancel your attendance may result in your forfeiting this deposit.

  1. 50% of the balance due is payable 75 days before travel and the remaining 50% is due 30 days before travel. These amounts are not refundable except in extenuating circumstances such as a medical certificate being produced showing an inability to fly. You will liable to ensure the balance payments are available on your card, or by another agreed method, on the due date as outlined to you. Should those amounts not be available by the due date you will be liable to have your registration cancelled and forfeit any monies already paid. All decisions regarding the refund of money paid after the 75 day cut off time will be at the sole discretion of Steve Lockhart. Although every effort will be made to accommodate you in difficult circumstances any decision will depend largely on our ability to refill your place and not incur any penalty from the hotel booking already made.

  1. Although the treatment, exercises and advice that will form the basis of this conference have already been proven to provide a very high success rate for the long term relief of pain, there are no guarantees it will be effective for you and no warranties are given or implied as to the results each person will achieve individually.

  1. Steve Lockhart reserves the right to suspend or expel anyone from attending the conference without providing a refund at any time should they attend whilst under the influence of drugs or alcohol or conduct themselves in a manner that is threatening or harmful to any other person in the group.

  1. Steve Lockhart, his company, employees or agents accept no liability for any loss or damage to you or your property in respect to your transportation to and from the conference or your stay whilst attending. You are strongly advised to organise your own travel insurance to cover you in the event of any loss you suffer as a result of illness, injury or theft whilst on your way to and from or during your stay at the conference.

  1. Your health is your responsibility. Your attendance at the teaching/ healing conference is your choice and will be at your own risk. The program and treatments you receive are not intended to offer you all the necessary information about maintaining a healthy and pain free body. There are many options and alternative courses of action that may be equally or more beneficial to you. Depending upon your specific pain condition and health situation, the program and treatment you are given may be detrimental to your health. Although the detailed registration form you complete should highlight this if it is the case, exploring all of the options and alternatives is your responsibility.

  1. Although every effort will be made for each individual, Steve Lockhart provides the teaching and pain rehabilitation conference “as is” without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.  Steve Lockhart makes no warranties about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of the program you will undertake or services in the form of exercises, bodywork or other advice you will receive.

  1. Steve Lockhart and his employees or agents are not medical practitioners and as such can not be expected to diagnose or treat any medical condition that falls outside their area of expertise.

Limitation of Liability: SLM and its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies and their respective directors, officers, employees, advisors, agents, licensors, and other contributors will not be liable for any injury, harm or death you or others may suffer as a result of the use or attempted use of the Program at the conference or any materials in the Program or equipment or machines incorporated into the Program, whether or not such use is in accordance with all Program instructions or other directions. SLM will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, incidental or punitive damages related to the Program or Program materials or any errors or omissions related thereto. SLM maximum liability for any claim based upon the Program or Program materials is limited to the price of the Program itself as of the date of payment made by the person attending.
