Child birth damage
« on: June 20, 2012, 09:39:00 AM »
Steve,

New one for me. One of my Mixed Marshal Arts fighter’s wife had a baby about 4 months ago.  Her stomach muscles are all messed up so the fighter says. I told him I would only work on his wife, if her doctor gives me a written note saying it is OK for her to receive deep tissue bodywork.

If I get the note, I planned on doing some light stomach work along with a full SLM treatment. Any comments?

Hi Dave I assume you mean a normal birth and if so I wouldn't worry too much about needing a doctors letter as you can't do any harm with a moderate pressure massage. Just follow the format in the instruction video 2 and keep moving around. Good idea to combine it with a full body treatment. If you feel any knots as you work just stop on them for 20 seconds and hold before continuing.

If she had a ceasar then you can still work on it but go lighter.

Good luck,
Steve
