Warm oil for Winter
« on: May 06, 2012, 06:12:18 PM »
Hi Steve, Therapists and Students,
As the cooler weather approaches and for those of us who experience a cooler winter. I want to share with you all a little deluxe treat I do for all my patients. Grab yourself a baby bottle warmer (cheaper option), and gently warm the oil before applying. The warm oil is a complete sensory experience to all. The bottle warmer is ideal keeping the oil at a constant temperature and enables you to keep it warm all day.

Happy Massaging

I find the patients in the summer also appreciates the warm body temperature oil and I get comments all the time, "How lovely it is to have warm oil and not cold as it is a bit of a shock even after putting in hands to try and warm first".
I use a round 2 litre esky type water bottle without the lid, and put my container it  with hot water about 5 mins before I have my first appointment and it last a couple of hours before changing the water.  :)
